Vietnam is entering the 4th wave of Covid, which is also the strongest and most dangerous wave ever with thousands of new cases every day, the current death rate even surpasses the world average. Although classified as essential service industries, still open for operation, but the dental industry with the characteristics of direct contact with patient droplets during the procedure makes the risk of infection high, many clinics, including iMed, have temporarily minimized direct medical examination and treatment activities.

So what did our medical staff do during these times of social distancing in Hanoi? We are closed but by no means stopoperating. In addition to a team of medical staff available at the clinic to receive emergency cases, iMed dentistry has quickly shifted to online activities. Many people will think that this is impossible because the specialty of the dentist is to manipulate the patient, how can online medical examination and treatment be possible. Yes, the dentist’s job requires meeting to treat patients in person. We are very worried when we cannot directly treat our patients. However, with iMed, this is a precious time when we have the opportunity to re-evaluate each patient’s treatment results, take care, ask questions and listen to each patient’s sharing, which we have very little time to do during normal operation. During this time, many  iMed customers will be surprised to see that not only the customer care team but also the doctors also call each patient to inquire about their oral health or simply to  share the joy  of knowing that their patients are safer with the vaccine shield.

Besides, for each iMed employee, this is an opportunity for us to hone our knowledge and improve our skills. Covid may prevent us from going out, but it cannot prevent us from accessing knowledge. Doctors and staff at iMed constantly participate in online training courses in both expertise and skills.
  • Dr. Long participated in the ITI Global Implant Conference 2021 taking place online from September 1 to September 5
  • Dr. Thanh, Dr. Dung, and Dr. Kim Anh participate in weekly webinars on orthodontics
  • Dr. Tung, Dr. Loan participate in webinars on digital prosthetics and advanced endodontic treatment
  • The assistant block participated in the webinar on aseptic work during the Covid-19 epidemic
  • And there are many management courses, soft skills and internal training sessions for all iMed employees.

All of this is to prepare for the return of iMed after we get the epidemic under control. We hope that after going through the months of being restricted from all activities by Covid, iMed  will return with a new, more professional look, bringing customers better quality of treatment and service experiences. Wishing Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and the whole of Vietnam get well soon so we can see each other again soon.
