Early teeth
Baby teeth start erupting when your baby is about 6 months old and continue to erupt until your baby is 3 and 4 years old. A complete baby tooth will have 20 teeth. When children turn 6, the baby teeth will in turn be replaced with permanent teeth, starting from the 2 incisors between the lower and upper jaws.

Common dental problems
Gingival soreness causes children to skip meals and lose sleep during teething. This is a common phenomenon, however, in case the child has a persistent fever or diarrhea, consult a doctor.
- Decayed teeth, puppy teeth
- Mouth heat, ulcerative stomatitis
- Permanent teeth do not erupt
- Misaligned teeth, wrong bite (reverse bite, open, rough teeth, crooked, sparse …)
- Oral health care for children
The stage of baby teeth is a very important period to take care of, which will affect the entire permanent teeth of children later, so to prevent oral diseases of children during this time, parents need to pay attention to:
- Build for children a proper nutrition
- Create a daily oral hygiene habit for children (rinse after eating, brush teeth and floss at least 2 times a day)
- Take your child to the dentist for routine check-ups at least 2 times a year
- Help children quit bad habits that affect oral health such as sucking, night feeding, eating a lot of sweets, not brushing their teeth daily…
- Routine dental check-ups at iMed dentistry
Starting when the child is about 3-4 years old, once every 6 months, parents should take the child to the clinic. The doctor at iMed will begin to get acquainted and teach the child how to take care of their teeth. When the appropriate age is reached, the doctor will advise to take timely interventions to prevent misalignment of the child’s teeth and jaw.
